I have gone from sandals on the beach to combat boots 18 hours day. The duration of my day is spent on my feet, running around supporting the Sea Stallion and other aircraft squadrons. 130+ degree weather, profuse sweating, sandstorms, hot wind, and long days all try to hamper the spirit. However, nothing drags a guy down like tired and worn-out feet. Your socks are like the Lance Armstrong of foot protection.
