Spring Into Fitness

The birds are starting to chirp and the snow is melting away along with your New Year’s fitness resolutions. With the sun shining, now’s the time to do a little Spring cleaning and get back on track with your goals.

Reflect: Take a look at what your goals were at the start of the year. Did you want to lose weight? Did you want to set a new record for miles logged? Then think back to what came between you and your goals.
Change it up: Spring is often seen as a time of new beginnings. It’s time to come out of hibernation and brush off your tennis shoes or hiking boots. Hit the trails and explore the great outdoors!
Clean out your pantry: Over the winter you may have stocked up on some comfort foods or even have leftover candy from your stockings or Valentine’s Day. Now is the time to toss them out and restock with foods that have high nutritional value. You could even hit up the farmer’s market!
Update your wardrobe: It’s an old adage: look good, feel good. If your old workout wear is starting to look a little rough, now is the opportunity to invest in new clothes from head to toe. You might even want to buy gear with performance enhancing features.
Rest: When you jump into any fitness routine, it’s important to rest and let your body and mind recover from all the hard work you’ve put in. Go ahead, treat yo’self.
